AB InBev has rolled out a limited edition Budweiser can adorned with the Statue of Liberty.
The design will be available until the end of this month across single and multipack formats.
Its launch is supported by a social media campaign inviting shoppers to post a picture of them “celebrating the summer”.
The can will be available through grocery and at “public summer parties” through a series of event partnerships.
Budweiser was “synonymous with Americana, freedom and ambition” said its UK marketing manager, Rowan Chidgey. “We hope the design will get consumers even more excited about the iconic beer and increase rate of sale.”
Sales of Budweiser shot up by a cool £57.8m (18.6%) over the past year to £368.7m, making it the UK’s fourth-biggest booze brand, The Grocer revealed last month [Nielsen 52 w/e 22 April 2017].
