Terry's Chocolate Orange has ditched Dawn French for its latest ads after 10 years of the comedienne fronting the brand's campaigns. Brand owner said it had benefited from the partnership, playing to French's "hilarious and irreverent style". "It's been a difficult decision to end the partnership with Dawn," said marketing manager Stephanie Lea. "We feel the campaign has run its course and we are developing different work." The new commercial, which forms part of a £2.3m push breaking this week, shows an office worker break open a Terry's Chocolate Orange. When her back is turned, her colleagues steal it segment by segment, with the famous Countdown timer ticking in the background. It carries the catchline 'Round. But not round for long'.
