Fine wines and spirits supplier Forth Wines has promoted Donald Campbell from sales director to MD to head a restructured management team.
Campbell replaces Nick Harvey-Miller, who has moved to another business in Scotland.
Richard Peters, chief operating officer for Matthew Clark, which acquired Forth Wines in October 2000, said: "Donald knows the Forth business intimately, the market it operates in and how to exploit the opportunity this business has developed."
Campbell added: "We are in great shape to develop further."
He said he expects to announce further senior appointments shortly.
Campbell enjoys a high profile in the Scottish drinks industry and is the current chairman of trade charity the Incorporation of Maltmen.
He is also on the committee of the Scottish Wholesalers Association.
