Chewits is expanding its line-up with the launch of two 180g sharing bags.
Chewits Chewmix bags, which contain sweets from the core confectionery range, are rolling out this month to Tesco while sour Xtreme Chewmix is going into Tesco and Sainsbury’s (both rsp: £1.39).
The fruit chewy sweets market has grown 9% to £135m [Nielsen 52 w/e 12 October 2013], with 88% of that growth coming from bags, said Chewits.
Sales of the brand have grown 24.9% to £10.4m.
