Shropshire processor Embreys has secured a deal to supply locally produced beef, lamb and pork to five West Midlands Co-op stores - at Church Stretton, Copthorne, Radbrook Green, Wem and Bicton Heath.
The stores began stocking supplies last week. Director James Embrey said: “By working closely with our farmers, we know that all Embreys meat is the best quality available, as we only deal with stockmen who take pride in their work.”
Roy Frodsham, general manager for the West Midlands Co-op food division, said: “This agreement allows us to provide the best-quality local meat for our customers.”
