Convenience retailers have been given free downloadable social distance reminders and post-lockdown posters to display throughout their stores.
Media company The Behaviours Agency has used behavioural science to develop the suite of posters. They depict six key messages to inform customers of the new measures for social distancing and reducing contact post-lockdown.
The main image reads ‘thank you for thinking’. Others include reminders to keep two metres apart, shop alone, use contactless payment methods and sanitise hands. One communicates the store’s commitment to cleaning, in line with guidelines from the British Retail Consortium.
The posters have been displayed in independent retailers throughout Manchester and the agency hopes to help store owners across the country better engage with their customers by downloading them for free.
“We’re fortunate to have remained open during lockdown, and have a long history of supporting retailers and other small to medium businesses,” said The Behaviours Agency MD Sue Benson. “We wanted to find a way to use our expertise to help in the current situation, so created a set of posters to help get those doors back open and people shopping again as safely as possible.”
