Cussons is slipping a £4m support programme for the first four months of 2002 behind its antibacterial handwash Carex.
Activity starts with the launch of Portable Family Soft Wipes, three variants of Gentle Foaming Handwash, and 750ml Antibacterial Moisturising Handwash refills in Original, Aloe Vera and Eucalyptus.
TV and press advertising and posters will follow.
The Wipes, which are formulated to be "quick-drying and non-sticky", are designed for hand cleaning outside the home, rsp: £1.59, 15; £2.99, 40. They will be shown at the Boat and Caravan Leisure Show at the NEC next month, while in March and April consumers will get a free pack of 15 wipes with each bottle of standard 250ml Carex handwash.
Packs will also be distributed to 350,000 new mothers through the Bounty Toddler packs.
The Gentle Foaming Handwash in Tea Tree and Avocado, Cranberry and Jojoba and Willow Bark and Honey come in pump action bottles (rsp: £2.59, 250ml).
