Nottinghamshire-based confectioner Bonds of London has appointed Ian Davidson to the newly created position of group sales controller.
He will take responsibility for the 28-strong sales team, covering both the independents and multiples. He is currently undertaking one of his first tasks at Bonds, which has been to expand the sales team.
Prior to his new appointment, Davidson had been at Pernod Ricard UK for eight years. He had been channel director wholesale and cash and carry leading a team of 16 people from July 2001 to January this year. He also spent one year as business sector controller for the company’s wine division, Caxton Wines, and was a national field sales manager for three years.
From 1992 to 1997, Davidson held the position of regional sales manager at Weetabix.
