Goats milk supplier Delamere Dairy has launched what it is claiming is the UK’s first spreadable goats butter.
The spread (rsp: £2.25/250g) combines Delamere’s lightly salted goats’ butter with rapeseed oil to create a “convenient and versatile” spreadable format, which provides an alternative to the brand’s 250g block butter (rsp: £1.70), Delamere said.
Launched this month, the product is available from Ocado and independent health food shops. The brand is also in talks with the mults.
“Goats butter is a naturally nutritious alternative for people who are unable to tolerate cows butter, and we’re delighted to be able to offer this convenient and versatile option,” said MD Ed Salt.
