Functional drinks brand ÜFit has added three variants to its range of high-protein shakes, bringing the total to five.
Joining the original Strawberry and Chocolate on shelf, the low-fat NPDs include Iced Latte, which is intended by ÜFit to ‘bridge the gap’ between the increasingly popular functional drinks and iced coffee categories. It is available in a 310ml bottle along with the new Banana flavour (rsp: £2). Both offer 22g of protein – the equivalent of 6.7g per 100ml.
The trio is completed by Vanilla, which comes in a 500ml bottle and provides 50g of protein (rsp: £3.75).
ÜFit was launched in 2014 and has received endorsements from celebrities including reality TV stars James Lock (The Only Way is Essex) and Lucy Watson (Made in Chelsea).
“Creating a product that was in equal parts delicious, healthy and convenient was our primary goal from the outset of this project,” said the brand’s marketing director, Terry Adams. “Getting more protein into their diet increasingly becomes a top priority for many consumers – and rightly so.”
