Duck producer Cherry Valley has secured a deal to supply six new free-range prepared duck products to Marks & Spencer.
The Lincolnshire-based company, which is the UK’s largest duck manufacturer and produces eight million ducks a year, has begun supplying the retailer with whole and half free-range ducks, as well as packets of leg and breast portions. In addition, it will supply 1.5kg and 2kg de-boned whole ducks stuffed with pork, cranberry and Morello cherries, designed for the Christmas market.
“Our business is the strongest it’s ever been, our welfare standards are second to none and our range, in my opinion, is impeccable,” said Cherry Valley sales and marketing director Eric Jagger. The products are being supplied into leading M&S stores, with prices ranging from £6 for a packet of free-range duck legs to £24 for a 2kg stuffed bird.
