Belgian craft brewer Duvel Moortgat is bringing beers from Boulevard Brewing Company to the UK market.
Duvel Moortgat, which acquired the Kansas City-based speciality brewer last year, is launching Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale and Single-Wide IPA in draught and 355ml bottles next month. Both will be available from Booths stores in bottles, and in various on-trade outlets.
Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale (8.5% abv) is described as is a “strong, crisp, refreshing beer that combines the best of American hops with the classic fermentation aromas and flavours of a Belgian Saison.
Single-Wide IPA (5.7% abv) is claimed to be the “perfect representation of a modern American IPA. A generous dry-hopping with Centennial, Simcoe and Citra hops adds fresh citrus aroma and flavour to the traditional sweet toasty malt flavour and accentuated hop bitterness”.
“These are characterful, full flavoured brews which reflect their special ingredients and the excitement of the American craft beer scene,” said Duvel Moortgat UK and Europe general manager Matthew Willson.
Boulevard was founded in 1989 by John McDonald and it was the first major brewery to open in Kansas City since the re-opening of the Muehlebach Brewery in 1938, shortly after the repeal of the Prohibition.
