Yeo Valley Organic has expanded its kefir range with a first move into mixed yoghurt pots.
Its Kefir with Granola Pots (rsp: £1.95/180g) combines the brand’s kefir (filled with 14 different live cultures), with a granola blend, and contains no artificial ingredients.
The breakfast-friendly product launches into Sainsbury’s on 30 April and via Booker in May in two flavours: Mango & Passion Fruit and Blueberry.
“Our new pots reflect what more consumers are looking for from their breakfast,” said Olivia Gillespie, senior brand manager at Yeo Valley Organic. “A blend of simple, natural ingredients and purposeful nutrition with gut health benefits that can easily be grabbed on the go in one delicious serving.”
The NPD is the latest addition to Yeo Valley’s kefir product range, with new one-litre bottles of drinking kefir, featuring its Natural and Mango & Passion Fruit flavours also set to launch in Sainsbury’s this month.
The launch follows a busy few months for Yeo Valley, which announced its acquisition of Epicurean Dairy (UK) and its The Collective yoghurt brand in the UK in March. This deal brought together the broad manufacturing capabilities of Yeo Valley and the “innovative, taste-led ranges“ for which The Collective was known, the two businesses said at the time.
Yeo Valley also announced a move into meat for the first time in March, launching an organic and grass-fed burger into Tesco, which combined “top-quality beef with ethical farming practices”.
