Emmi is set to capitalise on the latest trend sweeping coffee shops with the UK’s first chilled ready-to-drink Flat White.
Sold under Emmi’s Caffè Latte range, the new product will go on sale in Waitrose this month, priced £1.19. The Flat White, a phenomenon from Australasia, consists of a strong shot of coffee with foamed milk. It is a less milky alternative to a latte or a cappuccino. Starbucks launched Flat White in the UK in December 2009, and Costa followed suit in January 2010.
Like the other products in the Caffè Latte range, Emmi Caffè Latte Flat White will be made using Rainforest Alliance coffee beans and Swiss milk, but will include an extra shot of espresso.
