The English Provender Company is extending its salad dressings portfolio with sachets to tap the growing lunchbox trend and the introduction of its first full-fat dressings.
Singles - packs of six single-serve sachets priced £1.45 - marks the company's first dressings outside glass jars or bottles. Available in classic French, lime & coriander and honey & mustard, the range will be positioned as convenient for on-the-go eating. Each has less than 3% fat and fewer than 44 calories.
EPC is also adding a three-strong full-fat range (£1.99 per 255ml) to its salad portfolio, traditionally rooted in the low-fat sector. "As consumers start eating out less they will crave indulgence at home," said marketing controller Mark Bosworth. "With premium ambient dressings in 12% growth [TNS], recession provides an opportunity."
Indulgent and Singles will roll out this month.
