Booker's value range Euro Shopper is raking up sales of £1m a week, with more than 29,000 shoppers a week buying products, the cash & carry giant said.

The range was launched in July 2007 and boasts 35 lines including energy drinks, washing up liquid and biscuits. Its Euro Shopper energy drink won the Product of the Year award at the Convenience Retail Awards last month.

"Euro Shopper provides retailers a credible own-brand alternative to help them compete with the discounters such as Aldi," said Steve Fox, director of retail and Premier development at Booker.
