Wholesaler DCS Group has appointed ex-Tulip director Clare Bocking to the newly created position of chief commercial officer.
Bocking will commence her new role with the Banbury-based business at the end of September.
The new board-level position will seeing Bocking reporting directly into Michael Lorimer, group CEO, and alongside Johnathan Berry, group CFO.
The new role aims to lead the company through its next stage of evolution as it marks its 25th anniversary.
Most recently Bocking has been commercial director at Tulip, a position she held for two years.
She brings 25 years of commercial experience to the role, having worked at Mars, Britvic and Kerry Foods.
Bocking is a prominent figure in the Women in Wholesale initiative as chairman and qualified coach, and has spent many years on the FWD supplier council.
“I’m really looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead,” she said. “I have a good understanding of the UK grocery market and have many strong relationships with many key operators.”
