Hovis has launched the first ‘crustless’ loaf of bread.
The white loaf was created using a special tin and oven so that the outer layer of the dough does not brown, leaving an ‘invisible crust’.
Hovis said that the loaves had been launched after research found that 67% of children do not like crusts and up to 45% of bread is wasted if the crusts are removed.
