Dairy Crest has landed a national listing with Tesco for its Cathedral City Spreadable range and expanded the line-up with a new Mature Lighter variant.
The range of four spreadable cheeses, which also includes Mature, Extra Mature and Garlic & Herb variants, will roll out nationwide on 23 October (rsp: £1.49/125g).
The new ‘Lighter’ variant - which will initially be on sale for eight weeks - follows a range extension in May which saw the brand’s Extra Mature and Garlic & Herb variants launch into Asda, Morrisons and convenience retailers.
“That Tesco will be rolling out the Spreadable lines is testament to the passion we have for this range and the quality of the products we have achieved,” said Dairy Crest head of cheese marketing Will Hemmings.
“The team have worked tirelessly to ensure Cathedral City Spreadable delivers the authentic Cathedral City Cheddar taste and quality we are renowned for and early consumer and customer feedback has been resoundingly positive.”
