Drinks brand Funkin is rolling out a new look across its range of pre-made cocktail mixers.
The new packaging, which hits shelves from June, features a navy blue background with a spiral swirl of colour to evoke a top-down view of a cocktail glass. The pattern of the swirl is designed to lead the eyes to the side of the carton, where instructions are placed on how to prepare the cocktail.
The range of 750ml cartons (rsp: £2.99) includes four varieties - mojito, passion fruit martini, strawberry daiquiri and pina colada - that are listed at retailers including Waitrose and Ocado.
“Breakthrough innovation is in the DNA of everything we do,” said senior brand manager Joana Lenkova. “We are very passionate about our brand and with this new design we ensure that Funkin looks as good as it tastes.”
Funkin was acquired by AG Barr in February in a deal worth up to £21m. “We believe Funkin has created a unique niche in a growing market and together we can drive exciting growth in a new sub category,” said AG Barr CEO Roger White at the time.
