Premium rum brand Hattiers is aiming to raise more than £1m to accelerate its global expansion.
The Devon-based company is eschewing crowdfunding and instead aiming to selectively engage with experienced investors who can bring expertise to fuel growth.
So far, Hattiers has achieved 20% of its funding goal with current investors from the spirits industry holding backgrounds in sales, data and supply chain.
The investment will be used to expand operations, grow the team, and support an accelerated move into at least ten new markets over the next three years.
The company recently brought on new sales director Richard Shirman to its leadership team. Hattiers said Shirman brought experience from some of the largest alcohol groups and would be instrumental in scaling Hattiers’ market reach, strengthening distribution networks, and advancing its premium positioning internationally.
Philip Everett-Lyons, who founded Hattiers Rum in 2017, said: “We’re not just building a brand. We’re redefining what a premium rum company can achieve by putting sustainability and ethics at the heart of everything we do. Our focus on smart funding means we’re not only looking for capital but for partners who understand our mission and can help us grow strategically.”
