Hazlewood Foods has transferred the bottling of sauces and dressings from the Meridian Foods business in Corwen to its more modern site at Selby, north Yorkshire.
A spokesman said the bottling operation was a significant part of the business. However staff would be able to secure alternative positions at the new state of the art pizza factory at Deeside.
The move follows the transfer of a large chunk of the sauces and pickles production at Hazlewood's site in Greengate, Manchester, to Selby earlier in the year as parent Greencore develops the Hazlewood business around "sites of excellence" surrounded by smaller "satellite" factories.
