Heinz is extending its Farley’s brand beyond rusks with a new range of finger food for toddlers.
The new infant offerings include Mini Cheese Biscuits, Mini Fruit Bears and Fruity Cereal Bars.
Heinz claims the Mini Cheese Biscuits (rsp: £1.89 for 4x25g) are lower in fat and salt than most snacks aimed at children and that each bag contains 25% of a child’s recommended daily amount of calcium. Mini Fruit Bears (£1.89 for 4x30g) are made with real orange juice and pulp and contain a third of a child’s recommended daily allowance of vitamin C per bag.
Fruity Cereal Bars, meanwhile, are fortified with iron (£1.89 for 6x20g).
“Toddlers normally eat a range of foods which may be nutritionally inappropriate, from biscuits and salty snacks to cakes, sausages and pizza,” said Helly Seeley, brand manager for Heinz Baby Food. “Our new finger food range offers mums a healthy, convenient alternative, with all the reassurance that the Heinz Farley’s brand brings.”
