Coca-Cola is to launch new Vanilla flavour in both standard and Diet formats next month, The Grocer has learned.
Speculation as to when the soft drinks giant would finally launch the new brand was ended this week as visitors to the Convenience Retailing Show in Birmingham were let in on the company's plans for the first time.
It follows weeks of speculation as to when Coca-Cola would finally give in to pressure from retailers to launch the new variant. An increasing amount of foreign stock has already been finding its way into Britain through the grey market. One retailer told The Grocer: "About time. We already knew this was on sale in parts of the country, but we couldn't get our hands on it."
Coca-Cola plans to back the newcomer, which will initially be available in 330ml cans and 500ml bottles, with a £5m TV advertising push.
