Vegan cheese brand Honestly Tasty has secured a new listing in Marks & Spencer, its biggest in a supermarket to date.
The brand’s almond-based range, consisting of Shamembert, Blue and Bree cheese alternatives, are now available in 166 M&S stores nationwide (rsp: £5 to £6 per SKU).
Honestly Tasty said it had adjusted aspects of the range’s production process as it had scaled up in a bid to bring prices down without compromising on taste or texture. As a result, its in-store price was now more competitive when compared with standard cheese, it suggested.

“We’ve always understood that price might be a barrier, so really hope that recent changes truly reflect our ongoing commitment to bringing Honestly Tasty vegan cheese to the masses,” said the brand.
“We’re super proud of [the new listing] and want to say a huge thanks to everyone involved in the process,” said Beth Moore, co-founder of Honestly Tasty. “That’s the great team at M&S but also every single person that’s championed our cheese, our brand and our story.”
The brand said it was now planning a range of new product launches and revised recipes, with lower emission products and allergen-free options in the pipeline.
It follows a launch into Ocado in February.
