Innis & Gunn has brewed a ‘detox’ beer to tap Dry January.
Innis & None, which the Scottish craft brewer claimed to be ‘the first of its kind’, is an 0.0% abv pale ale that contains ginseng, guarana and vitamin C. It is available from today in a 330ml can format (rsp: £5/four-pack) from the brewer’s online shop and its Beer Kitchens in Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews.
Developed to deliver a “refreshing zesty” ale, the brew is made with a blend of Columbus, Tomahawk, Zeus, Magnum, Hercules and Apollo hops.
The newcomer would tap the rising popularity of Dry January, said founder Dougal Gunn Sharp, adding more than two million Brits were likely to commit to a healthier lifestyles and reduce their alcohol intake this month.
“Taking the alcohol content down to zero is part of our belief that beer is for everyone and with the added vitamin C and ginseng, you’re now also getting a boost to the immune system.”
