A raft of craft beers from Cape Town’s Jack Black’s Brewing Co is to go on sale in the UK for the first time.
Instil Drinks Co has secured a deal to exclusively distribute Jack Black Lager, the largest-selling craft lager in South Africa, as well as Cape Pale Ale, Keller Pils and Atlantic Weiss, all in 340ml bottles (rsp: £1.89), to both the on and off-trade later this month.
A specialty range of ’bolder’ craft beers - Lumberjack Amber Ale, Butchers Block Pale Ale, and Skeleton Coast IPA – will also be available in 440ml bottles with a £2.49 rsp.
The Jack Black brand was established in 2007 by founding partners Ross and Meghan McCulloch, who “set out to change the craft beer landscape in Cape Town”.
“Bringing genuine craft beer from South Africa is thrilling for us, because it is an almost untapped market in the UK,” Instil’s beer brand manager Marianne Fillion said.
Ross McCulloch added: “It’s been a long-term vision for us to enter the UK market and we’re excited to showcase our unique flavourful beers, highlighting our passion for innovation and South African ingredients.”
