JJ Foodservice will donate over 200 ‘Helping Hand Packs’ to charity The Felix Project to support families near its Enfield depot with the cost of living crisis.
The bags, which will be put together by the wholesaler over the October half term, contain a mixture of healthy snacks, drinks and toiletries.
“Enfield is expected to be one of the hardest-hit areas impacted by soaring energy bills,” said JJ HR manager Joanna Florczak.
“We are not the biggest business, but we are keen to help, and are very grateful to our suppliers and The Felix Project, who worked with us to donate a total of 207 Helping Hand packs.”
Each pack will contain products including Pip Organic apple juice, Bare Fruit organic apple chips, Off the Beaten Path rice and pea chips, Enliven toiletries and Twinings English breakfast tea.
The Felix Project CEO Charlotte Hill said: “This is a wonderful donation, with some fantastic products that will have been hugely welcomed by the recipients.
“We were thrilled to help deliver the packages and would like to say a big thank you to JJ Foodservice and their partners for this generous contribution at such a crucial time.”
