Chief executive, IGD Rising through the ranks at Marks and Spencer, Denney spent time in commercial store management, learning about retailing at the sharp end. She then moved to the head office training department where, as training manager, she knew the value of investing in staff development. Post M&S she joined the IGD as business director, and was appointed chief executive in 1998. She is also commercial adviser to the Food Directorate of the MoD and was involved in Minister of Agriculture Nick Brown's Food Chain Group. {{COVER FEATURE }}
