JohnLewis.com and CoopElectricalsShop.co.uk are in the top 10 online shops as voted by customers, a survey from Which? has found.
Customer scores were based on a combination of satisfaction and likelihood to recommend.
The survey, which does not include food, focusses on electricals; books; music; films and games; cosmetics and toiletries; DIY products; baby and child products; furniture and homewares; clothes, shoes and accessories; and outdoor and leisure.
John Lewis.com came second and achieved a 90% customer satisfaction score.
CoopElectricalsShop tied eighth with 86%.
Costco’s new online shopping site made it into the top 30, tying in 21st place with a customer score of 78%. Marks & Spencer was joint 50th with a 70% score. Asda.com/Asda Direct, Tesco.com/Tesco Direct and Sainsbury’s were joint 73rd with a 65% score.
The survey separately broke down websites into product areas. Costco, for example, was fifth with a score of 88% for electrical items. It was given two out of five stars for product stock, and three stars each for pricing, website usability and deliveries.
John Lewis’ website came top for clothes, shoes and accessories, baby and child products, outdoor and leisure, and furniture and homewares.
It scored five stars for every criteria of its online shopping in the outdoor and leisure sector, where it achieved a 96% customer score.
