Landmark Group member L&F Jones is to draw clear distinctions between its wholesale and retail operations, and plans to boost store numbers by going down the franchise route.
Colin Murphy joins the company on October 30 from Appleby Westward as chief executive of its wholesale division. He has also worked for M&W and Healds (Day & Nite). At the same time Nick Jones, joint group managing director, will become chief executive of the retail division.
He said: "We service 33 stores trading under the Jones Day & Night fascia, of which 17 are company owned. In January, we plan to boost the total by offering a franchise package to both new retailers and potential traders, within a 50-mile radius of our Midsomer Norton headquarters in Somerset."
In other personnel changes Martin Jones becomes group finance director, Clive Hobbs senior group buyer and Trudi Nicholas marketing manager.
