Kellogg's has come over all grown up with the £2m launch of a new cereal aimed at adults.
Based on Kellogg's top-selling adult brand Crunchy Nut Corn Flakes, Crunchy Nut Red also includes cranberry fruit pieces, almonds and yogurt flavour flakes.
The cereal, which has a 10% fat content, is being supported by a national TV advertising campaign, major instore support and 2 million specially-produced sachets for a nationwide sampling campaign.
Kellogg's said the newcomer had already scored highly in consumer trials, and had received one of the best research results ever for a new Kellogg's cereal.
The company said that listings had already been secured with all the major multiples.
UK sales director Kevin Jones said: "Kellogg's will continue to push back the boundaries in order to build our portfolio of adult brands and offer consumers an even wider choice of great Kellogg's cereals."
Shoppers can trial Crunchy Nut Red in special 150g packs which cost 89p each, but for a limited time only.
The standard 500g pack has an rsp of £2.49.
