Dairy producer The Kerrygold Company has promoted Carl Ravenhall to the position of MD.
Ravenhall, who takes up his new role on January 1, joined the company in 1996 as a technical controller. He was promoted to the position of operations director in 1999 where he was responsible for modernising and restructuring Kerrygold’s factory. According to the group, this resulted in sustained and improved operational performance.
Prior to Kerrygold, Ravenhall worked for three years at Sainsbury as a product manager. He also holds a Masters in business administration from Aston Business School.
Ravenhall replaces current MD Noel Coakley who has also been MD of the Adams Foods Group, of which Kerrygold is a part, since January 1992.
Coakley has been appointed chief executive of the Irish Dairy Board, the Irish dairy products exporter and owner of the Kerrygold brand.
