Chilled babyfood brand Little Dish has added a range of finger food for toddlers, rolling it exclusively into Sainsbury’s.
The three-strong lineup for 12 months-plus comprises Mini Cod Fishcakes, Mini Cod Goujons and Mini Chicken & Veg Bites (rsp: £2.75/150g-192g). Each 100g provides up to 13.1g of protein, between 0.5g and 4.2g of sugar, and no more than 0.3g of salt.
Made with 100% natural ingredients, the trio was designed to “provide fresh, savoury snack options for young children that taste as good as homemade” said Little Dish.
It comes after the brand’s ambient lines vanished from the mults earlier this year, following its decision to axe a raft of snacks, ambient meals and cooking sauces and renew focus on its chilled portfolio with which the business made its name.
The new finger food offer marked the start of Little Dish’s expansion in chillers “beyond complete meals into different formats and toddler mealtimes” said MD Shonagh Primrose, who joined the brand in November 2018 to lead ambitious growth plans.
“Parents want quick, easy and nutritious food that tastes as good as homemade, which means it needs to be fresh from the fridge.”.
