Over 400 Londis retailers have signed up to its new retailer package Londis 2020.
The new initiative, launched in April, followed the merger of its Brand Essentials and Londis Partnership schemes.
It provides a single set of retailer terms and store standards across the Londis estate. Londis said 400 sites signed up in just three months ahead of its six month target.
“We want consumers to recognise the great convenience stores our partners operate and that they are consistently great across the country. Londis 2020 is the platform to make that possible,” said John Pattison, Londis director.
“It was developed by retailers, for retailers and the sign up rate has so far exceeded our expectations. I’m delighted that so many retailers are on board and our aim is to have all stores in Londis working within 2020 by the end of 2017.”
The Londis 2020 package offers a range of benefits including exclusive deals; seasonal pre-sell extended credit terms; store investment and development funding and support; shorter delivery times; retailer and staff training e-learning modules and Association of Convenience Stores membership.
Londis retailer Arjan Mehr, who chairs the Londis National Retailer Council said: “Londis 2020 is a great idea as it makes for a single level playing field for all, with the same rules and the same rewards. It’s about raising our standards and our profits.”
Londis has around 1,500 sites.
