Foodservice specialist The Authentic Food Company is extending its foray into retail with a range of chilled ready meals in Makro.
The company launched a frozen range into the C&C chain last year and will now supply 19 chilled lines comprising Indian, Chinese, Tex Mex and Thai meals for one, two or four people (rsps: £2.99-£11.99). Each individual meal weighs in at 350g, complemented with a selection of portions including 200g servings of rice, naan or Paratha breads and side servings such as onion bhajis.Box packaging with handles reflect the take-out nature of the lines.
MD Lak Basran said: “We have been delighted how well our (frozen) products have been received in stores and we have spent a great deal of time developing our range and introducing new products.”
