M&S is hosting a Valentine’s themed instalment of its live food and drink events series this week.
The upmarket retailer will launch a complimentary Valentine’s Day session on 10 February as a thank you to its customers and to keep them entertained as lockdown measures continue.
Sparks Live attendees will get tips for a Valentine’s Day dinner at home from celebrity maître d’ and its wine ambassador Fred Sirieix. He will showcase several of its Valentine’s Day products, such as Our Best Ever prawn cocktail, Love linguini and Heart churros with chocolate, as well as recommend wine pairings with the dishes.
Customers can also ask Sirieix questions to improve their food and drink knowledge and one shopper will win a £1,000 M&S voucher during the session.
It will be hosted by presenter Andi Peters and M&S director of product development April Preston.
The previous three Sparks Live events have only been open to Sparks loyalty cardholders, but the Valentine’s instalment is open to all shoppers.
Customers sign up through M&S’s website to gain access.
The first Sparks Live session took place in December and was a Christmas and vegan focused demonstration featuring ingredients from the retailer’s Plant Kitchen range. It was followed by two in January. The first of these was hosted by cookery writer Dr Rupy Aujla on how to maximise your vitamin intake through food, and the second was a cook-along with TV presenter and chef Chris Baber about healthy eating and featuring items from M&S’s Eat Well range.
