CDB Meats has been bought by Brazilian beef producer and exporter Marfrig .
UK importer and distributor CDB supplies the retail sector with canned corned beef, canned ready meals and tuna in cans and pouches.
CDB supplies branded and own-label products to the retail, foodservice and food manufacturing sectors, and owns the Meteor, Concord, Caprice and Channel Maid brands. The company has been a customer of Marfrig for a number of years.
The acquisition also includes Ham Packers, a CDB susbidiary that operates a canning factory in Cornwall and produces canned meat goods for the UK.
