United Biscuits has announced the relaunch of its McVitie’s on-the-go range, with the addition of three price-marked packs.
Rolling out in six variants including Chocolate Hobnobs Slices, Milk Chocolate Digestive Slices and Digestive Caramel Millionaire Slices (rsp: £1), the revamp includes the introduction of a new smaller case size with a longer shelf life, replacing 24-pack and 18-pack boxes with a 12-pack format.
The range’s packaging has also been updated under the McVitie’s masterbrand with a permanent ‘2 for £1’ multibuy on Chocolate Digestive Slices, Digestive Caramel Slices and Chocolate Hobnobs Flapjacks.
Available in stores from 11 July, the new PMPs aim to support convenience retailers by allowing them to offer greater transparent value to consumers, said McVitie’s senior brand manager Claire Hooper.
We see this relaunch as an opportunity for us to continue growing in the cake on-the-go category, so consumers can enjoy our products in conveniently packed sizes when out and about, as well as at home,” she added.
