Kraft’s trade relations manager Easton Millar has taken early retirement after 40 years working in the grocery industry.
Millar said he began his career as a four-year-old in sweet stock replenishment at his grandmother’s fish and chip shop. On leaving school he joined the Scottish Co-operative Wholesale Society’s trainee scheme and was managing stores by the age of 19.
He became a sales rep for Kraft, which was then General Foods, in 1972, and moved into regional account management. After time as regional manager for Scotland and senior head office sales roles, Millar became senior customer manager for Nisa wholesale/retail in 1997. He was appointed trade relations manager for Kraft UK in 2002.
