Morrisons has launched an on-demand digital private pharmacy service, which allows customers to order prescription-only medication via the supermarket’s website.

Customers using the new Morrisons Clinic will be able to access private medication for a range of different health and lifestyle needs quickly and discreetly, without having to wait for a GP appointment.

Customers using Morrisons Clinic will be able to access private medication for a range of different health and lifestyle needs.

Health and lifestyle conditions supported by the new service include acid reflux, acne, hair loss, hay fever, migrane and weight loss. It also offers contraception, as well as products that help with period delay, menopause, erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.

Customers looking to order medication must first complete a detailed online questionnaire that will be used to assess their suitability.

All requests will then be sent for a comprehensive review by a team of healthcare professionals at online pharmacy Phlo. Once approved, the prescription will be dispensed and sent directly to the customer via Royal Mail Tracked 24.

Morrisons head of services John Parry said the supermarket recognised how “frustrating” the wait for a GP appointment could be, adding that he was “delighted” to be launching the Morrisons Clinic.

”Our customers will now be able to order medication for a number of different health and lifestyle conditions quickly and conveniently, all at competitive prices.”

Currently only available to Morrisons customers in England, the on-demand pharmacy is the latest service to be added to the grocer’s offer, joining in-store services including dry cleaning, photo processing, ‘Rug Doctor’ and Timpsons key cutting.
