Morrisons has completed the rollout of tablet order pads to staff.
As revealed by The Grocer in July, store staff were being given Motion CL910 tablets to replace the chain’s old pen-and-paper ordering system.
Mark Collin, head of retail in Europe at custom software consultancy ThoughtWorks, which created the new tablet-based ordering system, said: “It eliminates back-office data entry while also minimising the amount of potentially expensive mistakes.”
Richard Manners, director of retail process improvement at Morrisons added: “Our colleagues have found the tool very simple to use and the training has been much easier than with most new systems.”
