Morrisons is hoping to make it magical this Christmas with the launch of its festive ad campaign.
The campaign with the strapline “Make it a magical Christmas at Morrisons” launches Friday (6 November) on social media at 9.30am followed by a TV airing at 7.15pm on ITV’s Emmerdale. Three 33-second TV adverts will feature Morrisons staff from around the country including butchers, bakers, greengrocers and fishmongers, all of whom are helping to deliver Christmas at the supermarket chain.
The first advert highlights Morrisons’ work with British farmers. It shows sprouts and carrots being delivered daily from British farms, desserts being made with fresh British cream as well as products being prepared by the in-store bakers and butchers.
The second advert showcases Christmas treats such as stollen, hand-boned meat and poultry and salmon. The trilogy of ads ends with a focus on Morrisons’ service from staff and express checkouts, to a wine glass hire service and party platters.
All the activity is supported by direct marketing, digital and press advertising as well as the hashtag #makeitmagical.
“The stars of our advert are our staff. They are the ones who deliver a magical Christmas through their passion for fresh food,” said Morrisons marketing director Andy Atkinson. “This campaign also shows how we carefully source fresh produce, our friendly customer service and our great value for money.”
