Müller is expanding its Müllerlight and Corner ranges as part of its push to add £700m in category sales growth by 2020.
Müllerlight Kremas, a new fat-free whipped Greek-style yoghurt, went on sale in Asda this week with other retailers to follow in April and May.
It is available in Strawberry, Raspberry & Pomegranate and Mango & Passionfruit flavours in 100g single flavour four-packs (rsp: £2.89).
Müller already offers whipped Greek-style yoghurt under its Corner range and said whipped yoghurt had shown “significant potential for growth”. It will be backed by a TV ad from 17 April.
The supplier also launched a new Müller Corner Goes Nuts variant this week, featuring a pistachio-flavoured yoghurt with caramelised almond pieces (rsp: 69p/135g singles).
Plus, it will launch Müller Corner Müesli on 22 May in banana chocolate and white chocolate flavours. It will be Müller’s first muesli product in the UK (rsp: £4.09/6x135g packs). In addition, Müller has also reformulated its Corner Strawberry recipe, with 19% less total sugar.
“With Kremas, Müller Corner Goes Nuts and Müesli we’re breaking new ground, trying new flavours and tapping into some very significant segments of the markets where we see potential growth,” said Müller chief marketing officer Michael Inpong.
Müllerlight lost 1.5% in value sales last year, while Müller Corner sales fell 9.3% as shoppers switched to more natural big pots [IRI 52 w/e 28 January 2017].
