Ireland's Musgrave Group is set to hire most of its agency staff full-time after union representatives said those at its distribution centre in Dublin were paid only half the wages of company staff.

Musgrave, which operates the Centra and SuperValu franchises, said the distribution centre workers were employed by three recruitment agencies that agreed terms and conditions directly with workers. The company confirmed it was in negotiations with Ireland's largest trade union SIPTU to employ most of the agency workers on a full-time basis.

SIPTU has launched a 'name and shame' campaign against agencies it claims are exploiting migrant workers.
