Nestlé Rowntree head of brands marketing Liam Newton has left the company.
His role is being split between consumer communications manager Mike O’Reilly and brand group marketing manager Deirdre O’Donaghue.
The move follows the creation of a consumer communications department headed by O’Reilly and the establishment of a brand group under O’Donaghue, setting brand strategy. O’Reilly has just joined from advertising firm Lowe, where he was a director, while O’Donaghue is an internal appointment.
The changes have been implemented by MD Chris White, who joined in December, replacing John Sunley, who retired. Newton became head of brands marketing in January 2003, having been marketing manager for Kit Kat.
