Swiss food giant Nestlé had sold its dairy business in Turkey to French group Danone for an undisclosed sum.
Nestlé said the disposal, which would include its chilled dairy and UHT milk products, would allow it to focus on its core businesses such as confectionery, infant nutrition, breakfast cereals, coffee and water.
Nestlé said it would maintain a presence in the dairy market in Turkey through its Nesquik brand and Nestlé Cocuk growing up milk. These will be produced in ready-to-drink form, to be initially manufactured by Danone for Nestlé.
Under the deal, Nestlé will transfer its Gonen factory and Mis brands to Danone.
