Scotmid Co-operative Society is to roll out loss-prevention technology across its 330 stores.

The Secure software, from Sysrepublic, monitors all transactions and can tell store managers or loss prevention managers if staff are stealing from the company, how much they are stealing and how they are doing it.

“We needed a solution where we didn’t need specialist expertise to shape the investigations that look into internal losses at our stores,” said Jim McFedries, head of profit protection at Scotmid.

Sysrepublic EMEA sales director Ken George added: “Scotmid Co-op Society really tested us to make sure they got a solution that met the needs of their business.”
