Walkers is back on TV this month with two new campaigns.
The first, for Walkers crisps, sees a British builder getting his own back on the perennially crisp-stealing Gary Lineker by dousing the footballer in cement.
“We know that people love Walkers ads, and the fun that Gary Lineker brings to any situation,” said marketing director Rachel Holms. “It was essential for us to continue to capture the cheeky tone and warmth Walkers is famous for in this new campaign, which will drive awareness amongst consumers boosting sales for retailers and the CSN category.”
The other campaign supports the launch of three new products in the brand’s Sunbites range: Crispy Crackers, Pitta Bakes and Crackers and Dip. The ad ends with a woman enjoying Sunbites in the sun and features the strapline ‘Extra-ordinarily tasty’.
“Consumers are seeking snacks they don’t feel guilty about eating, and that’s exactly what Sunbites offers them,” said senior marketing manager Lee-Teng Chung. “It felt natural to expand the range with tasty products that are packed with wholegrain but still provide delicious bites.”
