Scottish salmon is known the world over. Now two Northern Irish companies are hoping to do the same for Northern Irish salmon with a new premium smoked salmon they’ve developed for export.
fish smoker Ewing’s Seafood and producer Glenarm Organic Salmon are launching Walter Ewing’s Finest Smoked Salmon in an attempt to create a brand that will “beat the best smoked salmon available,” according to Invest Northern Ireland, which announced the launch.
The “fantastic quality” came from Glenarm’s fish farm location in the cold, tidal waters of the Irish Sea,” said Glenarm MD John Russell.
Ewing’s is now talking to high-end retailers.
